Does anyone know the history of the currently forearm-less May Cafe lumberjack?Here is what I’ve gathered so far:“Paul Bunyon” was a marker for Duke City Lumber at the site of today’s May Cafe.The lumberjack is made of fiberglass. The May Cafe opened in 1992.The lumberjack lost his forearms and ax during a severe windstorm in either late 2013 or early 2014.The owners of the May Cafe have the arms and ax, but have been unsuccessful in finding someone to repair it.Although it is an Albuquerque…See More
