"Have you ever been to the Daily Grind?  It's a coffee shop/restaurant.  Great cozy atmosphere with good coffee along with good food.  Also a great place for a nice quiet dinner.  They have a large patio and also a cozy…"

"Just heard about a new coffee place in Old Town called Velvet Coffeehouse.  I'm not a coffee drinker, but I've heard others say it's a great little place!  They have a Facebook page, but no website."

  • I'm getting so sick of depressing APD stories, but...accused officers want Brandenburg's office off the case for conflict of interest - due to APD's two recent moves against Brandenburg. And while this week's police killing certainly …

  • More APD unpleasantness, straight from yesterday's Fix comments (thanks Brian Fejer): a few days after charges were filed in the Boyd case, the city (and not just APD!) is apparently refusing the DA's office access…

Morning Fix: Dirty Words

  • Albuquerque's streak of nearly six months without a fatal police shooting is apparently over. While recent experience should leave us all hesitant to judge too early, early reports suggest the officer was returning fire.
  • The downtown grocery store has, at long last, really and truly…

Phil- just tried to friend you.  Wanted to let you know about an event our neighborhood association is co-hosting with Bernco and MRCOG.  Dan Burden from WALC is coming to ABQ to do a workshop re: making communities more walkable on May 17th  His focus will be our segment of San Pedro that we have been working on for the past four years.  The event will be open to the public and should be really good.  What would be the best way to get the word out on DCF?  I don't think it's in the media yet, although MRCOG is doing a press release.  Attached is a flyer.  Thanks.Dan%20Burden%20Saturday.pdf.

Hi Phil! I am not sure how they make it in Sonora but this is the Guadalajara dog: 100% beef natural casing Frankfurter, wrapped in bacon, grilled. topped with pico de gallo (finely chopped tomatoes, onions & jalapenos). Plus sour cream (optional). I hope this would satisfy your Mexican taste buds ;0)

I just figured out that Ben and Nora and I ride the bus up to school and I can still get to work- so that was the second time, but we will do again . It only works if Ray can go in a little late and take Meghan.

Hey,
Ben and Nora and I saw you yesterday waiting for the bus, we were on the 11 bus and we yelled and waved but you did not see us.
Hope you had a great day.
