I just hope Berry will end this whole "Q" business. I know, I know, SUCH a small issue compared to everything going on in the city....but sometimes it's the small things that can make a difference :)

I knew being chubb-a-riffic had a higher purpose! Little did I know I was just improving my health with every creme brulee that crossed my path. wait, that seems a little off....

Profile Information

Where I Live:
somewhere between the Zoo, the Country Club, Downtown, and Barelas...
About Me:
A silly little San Francisco girl who lived in Phoenix for FIVE YEARS, and relocated to Albuquerque in September 2007. I up and moved myself from my childhood, the streets I knew, and all my friends in the pursuit of graduate school, cheaper living, and life experience. I'm finally tackling that great big mountain called graduate school - and am in my 3rd semester at the School of Public Administration at the University of New Mexico. I have been blessed to have kept the good friends from the bay, found a bunch that I thought I lost, and have made so many more on my way.

Professionally, I'm a nonprofit fundraising, marketing, and events specialist. My passion is to find the root of the cause and figure out how to sell it to as many constituencies as possible. Fundraising is fundamentally marketing, and I enjoy turning a mission into a great package for the community to buy into.

Personally, I live and love in the world of Rockabilly, Burlesque, Art, Performance, classic cars, coffee, with a little SCA thrown in there for fun!
Favorite Thing(s) About Albuquerque:
so far: trees, changes in weather, people, air quality, bunnies, roadrunners, and toads at the Rio Grande Pool
Relationship Status:
In a Relationship
My Website:

What I'm Listening To:
a whole lot of gypsy jazz: Ingrid Lucia, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Madeleine Peyroux, etc.

riri, i am so glad that you genuinely enjoy your work at the museum. it was not such a pleasant environment when i was there (i worked in outreach, which was fun in itself). hopefully it will only get better when the permanent home finally opens.

RiRi, I forgot to thank you for starting the fabulous new craftacular group! I love it. And I work next door to you at the NM Museum of Natural History! We should meet up for lunch sometime.

Thanks for starting the craft group, and giving it such a fantabulous name. I'm hoping perhaps to get some of us together one of these days to share ideas, techniques, just play, that sort of thing. I'm slowly but surely working on getting a website up and running to show my work, thanks for asking, I'll let you know. I lived in SF for 13 years, maybe we crossed paths there, huh ...

I was wondering when a crafting group would start up! My daily go-to crafting blog is http://blog.craftzine.com/, so there's a possible link to add to the group page.

I look forward to getting active with other crafters in the area!
