I haven't seen any around town amongst chicken friends but there are some home-made and pre-made tractors around. We made our coop out of scrap wood and hinges put it inside a dog run and they are happy as can be.

Yes make sure you have good seals on the doors and windows. All so have someone check the outer walls are sealed. Both of those measures keep ants from getting inside.

Ants don't like salt. It's not toxic...a little messy. I had to sprinkle salt around the cat's food bowl and at the window sill where they were coming in. It's cheaper than an exterminator, if you can wait...it's almost winter!

We also used AAA Organic for a one-time application a few years ago & were happy with them.

We have had the same problem this year (my husband attributes it to the mild winter we had last year) and we called AAA Organic Pest Control. They have an organic formula that is no smell, kid/pet friendly. You don't have to sign up for a contract...

that is what I figured but just wanted to make sure it wasn't the same company since you didn't mention the company name above. Thanks again for the recommendation: talked to them today and they were very helpful and will come to our rescue soon.
