NOB HILL PARK & SHOP DECEMBER 15TH!

Fellow NM Photographer!
Just a quick note to invite you to Karl Koenig's opening at the Inpost Art Space (at the Outpost Performance Space, 210 Yale SE) this coming Friday evening, 5-8. Karl is a talented photographer who makes images mostly of nature and architecture, the world round. The show will focus on his large format gumoil photographs, a process that he pioneered himself about 20 years ago. The prints are hand pigmented, resulting in amazingly vibrant photographs with a wondrous, almost catastrophic fairy tale quality. I find them highly affecting and unique.
My fellow curator Rob Thalmann and I plan to focus heavily on local photography during our 2 year term there at the Outpost, and this is just the tip of the iceberg for us. Maybe we could even do a DCF photographer's group show there?
Come see the show on the 5th!
Afterward we went to the Burlesque show and one of us won your gift certificate in the raffle!
I write a monthly column for The Mountain Gazette, a free monthly paper distributed throughout the Rocky Mtn states. December is my annual holiday guide; every year I pick one or two independent businesses from each state we cover--and I just wanted to let you know that I've featured Self Serve for New Mexico. I'm not sure if MG is still distributed in Abq--I know there are drop-offs in Santa Fe and Taos--so you may never actually see the issue. But I just wanted you to know--and to know how much I appreciate what a service you are to the community. Keep up the great work--and thanks.
Seriously, Puritanism should have died 400 years ago.
