Profile Information
Where I Live:
Albuquerque, NM, near Roosevelt Park, and also near Coors and I-40
About Me:
Technical Writer for a science, math, engineering, and technology (STEM) education outreach program on Kirtland AFB called AFRL La Luz Academy, which motivates 5th-12th grade students to study STEM through hands-on activities. I make their pretty newsletters, take pictures, make manuals, flyers, brochures, that sort of thing.
Music Director at Sacred Heart Church in the Barelas neighborhood, Albuquerque, NM, since about 2002. I sing Spanish and English hymns, play the organ and a little bit of guitar, and lead two choirs. As a result, I have also been Music Director of the Las Posadas de Barelas for the same amount of time.
Took up photography as a hobby in 2007, to try to improve my skills since I take lots of pics for my newsletter at work. Often WAY too busy with work to keep it up steadily, though. Have a Nikon D40 with an 18-200 VR lens, a Canon G10, and Adobe CS3. Joined the Enchanted Lens Camera Club (ELCC) and started posting pictures on Flickr. Here is a link to my photostream, if you're interested: http://www.flickr.com/photos/14863785@N03/
Big, huge Obama supporter. Gobama!
Favorite Thing(s) About Albuquerque:
The weather. The fact that the mountains are on the East, which helps me tell directions. I know my way around, lived here all my life.
Relationship Status:
Married
What I'm Reading:
I read my Flickr mail, mostly, a lot more than my regular email. I read a lot of Abraham Law of Attraction books, and have gotten about halfway through Audacity of Hope. I often read the Uncle John's Bathroom Reader series, except I usually read it in bed, never in the bathroom.
What I'm Listening To:
On my iPod: My playlist of music and meditations to lull me to sleep, my playlist of Mars Missions Music (a sci-fi theme song playlist I put together for an event at work), and sometimes my playlist of upbeat, lively dance-type music I started to make for another project of mine.
On the radio, "We Play Stuff We Like" Ed FM, 102.5 Classic Rock, The Peak ("the best music from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and now") and, during Christmas season, Magic 99.5's holiday music with DeLilah.
Me, playing and singing stuff every week in church.
