OK, I'll bite - where is the reference to Chez Bob? And where is the reply you thanked Spartacus for?

I have to agree that I have been unexpectedly un-impressed with Italian food in Albuquerque. A friend and I have decided to try each red sauce Italian spot in Albuquerque. We haven't gotten far, so don't have a lot to report. But we both liked the...

I love the Monte Carlo Steakhouse, 3916 Cental SW as others have mentioned. Vernon's Hidden Valley Steakhouse, 6855 4th Street NW btwn Osuna & Los Ranchos behind the Calico Kitchen is a good upscale place using the old speakeasy motif and entranc...

Bad news to report. After being open & closed a couple of times to take care of relatives with health problems, Kim's is going to close for good tomorrow, Sunday Feb. 15th. I'm going this evening to get a last fix of her wonderful fresh food. Putt...

Profile Information

Where I Live:
Los Ranchos - north valley
About Me:
optimist, fixer, working to create a better world, encourager of people to step/reach/stretch towards what they would like to be/do.

Grew up son of a founding merchant family in a small NW Kansas town and product of first intermarriage among the Catholic & Protestant town families.

Came into my own at a progressive environmental camp in Nevada created for the children of an inter-connected group of east/west coast progressive/radical 60's Democrats.

Came of age and into my manhood in the Feminist Men's Movement of the late 70's & 80's.
Favorite Thing(s) About Albuquerque:
The best of my two favorite places - weather like my NW Kansas hometown & human climate like the San Francisco Bay area. (Meaning lots of sun, thunderstorms, dry climate, four distinct & relatively mild seasons, balmy summer nights. And the attitude about other people that it's OK for them to lead their lives as they see fit as long as they don't tell me how to live my life or hurt me.) And then there are those golden autumn days scented by chiles roasting only made better by a hike in the country or a group of friends cleaning chiles & snacking on fresh green chile quesadillas - HEAVEN.
Relationship Status:
Single
What I'm Reading:
The Tewa World: Space, Time, Being, and Becoming in a Pueblo Society by Alfonso Ortiz,
Michael Toliver Lives by Armistead Maupin
What I'm Listening To:
KUNM, NPR
