Avokado Artists is a 360° non-profit arts organization whose activities include artist management, presenting, educational outreach, consulting, publishing, music licensing and clearance, recording, label and more. Our current management roster includes twice Grammy-nominated Iraqi oud master and composer Rahim AlHaj, the NYC - Brazil collective Nation Beat, Mariachi Mystery Tour, Magical Realism Mexican Painter Jade Leyva, and Maracatu New York. Consultant and marketing & promotion clients have or currently include Juno award-winning Indian Gazal singer Kiran Ahluwalia, Wired Artists, David Jacobs-Strain, Latin indie acts Pistolera and Los Amigos Invisibles, Dualtone Records and Little Dog Records.

Our label, Avokado Artists Recordings include Juno-award winning artist Kiran Ahluwalia, Nation Beat, Uzbek-Appalachia mash-up Cedar Hill Refugees (2013 Release) and Colombian Vallenato master Beto Jamaica (2013 Release)

Avokado Artist also founded, co-produces and co-curates the annual ¡Globalquerque! Festival, a 2013 ABQ Creative Bravos Award Recipient, now in its 9th year.

Outside of Avokado Artists, I program radio streams for Slacker.com including the World Music and New Age channels.

Thanks for the invite. I am really excited about the Ethiopian food at !Globalquerque!. Had it a lot when I lived in DC. The Blue Nile was my favorite place to eat. Finally, after 15 years, I get to enjoy it again!
