Tony: back in October, you invited me to provide you with some addresses that Trip Planner can't process, Truth is, I jst discovered this post (and others) because I've just stumbled onto this page !

So: I read this week in the ABQ RIDE bus riders forum that Trip Planner has improved. I'm still striking out.

So here are six addresses in my neighborhood -- all six well within five minutes of two bus stops on Turner. All six flummox Trip Planner.

Start addresses are: 41313 Nambe NE; 14308 La Cueva NE; 14317 Grand NE; 901 Parkside Dr NE; 14308 Mocho NE; 14304 Camino Del Rey. The site correctly nailed the streets and zip, but couldn't find anything. End address was 2501 Buena Vista SE.

I have a question: what percentage of revenue intake supporting ABQ RIDE comes from advertising these days?

Thanks.

Tony -

You are close. The giant Jesus is just north of Cincinnati (one of the other Ohio C-towns) and viewable right from I-75. My grandparents live just down the road. At the same exit is the giant, anatomically-correct horse statue on top of the Trader's World flea market sign and a Hustler Store! Ain't the Midwest great?!?!

Thanks Tony. I was doing the audio visual for the city of Gainesville, Florida for awhile and although sometimes boring, those Council meetings were essentially to me getting conscious about the community. I'm glad you're putting all that info online as I believe so many people would participate in local government if they were a little better informed about it.

What is your position with the City? I know a guy by the name of David Quintana that works in the audio visual department I believe.

Anyway, as far as I can gleam you're really involved with local gov't. I'll be launching a community webpost... a little different from here, in a couple of months. It will feature a section on politics and current events with active members of the community submitting articles on whatever they're passionate about. Let me know if you'd like to contribute. Thanks.

The City unveils ABQ Ride's Online Trip Planner

Yesterday, my boss Mayor Marty Chavez and Transit Director Greg Payne announced a new tool for Transit users in the form of an Online Trip Planner. I can’t think of a better place for feedback than the DCF community. My thinking is that this makes the bus system a lot easier and approachab… Continue
