Wade Patterson replied to Donny Ozmund's discussion Recycling: can we start putting glass in the city recycling containers?
"But will they pick it up if you are not in the pilot area zones? I doubt it. The trucks that come down my street I don't think have the mechanism to lift the bins and dump into the truck. And if its done by hand, they will not take containers…"

So, I’m standing on my front porch today watching a City vehicle stop in front of my house. Someone gets out and begins rummaging around in the back of truck, eventually producing a large orange boot and I think “wow, bummer - glad that isn’t me!” But it turns out, it IS!

But how can this be? I pay my tickets when I get them - I’m no fool. I know if I don’t they will find me eventually and the penalty will be high. In speaking with… Continue

Hey Wade. Sure sounds like you are someone I should meet. I am a new member of Duke City Fix. I will be moving to Albq. in Feb. 09. I am a muralist, decorative & fine artist. Still trying to figure out where to live, set up a studio/workshop, etc. My budget is real tight, unfortunately. I live in Milwaukee, WI. Can't take the winters anymore. Lot's of other reasons for the move. Ok if I look you up when I arrive? Need to connect with the thriving art scene in Duke City. If you are curious...my website is www.rickcitta.com
Happy Holidays.
