New Mexico Tax Day Tea Party April 15th - is this patriotic or not?

I'll admit, I relish spending late nights reading up on conspiracy theories... from the "Grays" to chem-trails. I love it all. And I share Jimi Hendrix's philosophy that "paranoia is just a heightened sense of awareness" and not merely a by-product of psychedelic (or other) drug use.

Along the road of conspiracy comes up the subject of taxation (as set up by the free-masons, the illuminati, etc.) and wether or not we (me and you, the citizens of the United States) have to LEGALLY pay taxes. I'v… Continue

updated Tripl3Tone Studios page on www.the-agency.org

I'm pretty happy with the progress of the websites I put up for my two babies...

1) my studio site: www.tripl3tonestudios.com

and

2) my venue site : www.the-agency.org

These two site use a template my friend kicked down which makes editing a breeze. I use apple and adobe software to treat images, and then put the pages together with Dreamweaver and then upload with CyberDuck to my host servers. All in all, I can update the front page in about 3 minutes, given that the graphic/flyer is comple… Continue

Duke City Shootout - what a weekend

It started with a call from ARTSlab Program Coordinator Eric Renz-Whitmore asking me if I was interested in helping a production crew with some sound editing. Hearing the exhaustion in his voice he put added the flavorful ending of "it's crazy and nuts around here if you want in on it"... how could I refuse!

I was introduced to a polite and informed individual who also had the hint of exhaustion in his voice. It was around 3pm when we spoke and the film was locked and being rendured. He said it… Continue

old RockSquawk posting that got no love... so I thought I'd cut and blog it here on the DCF

firstly, is RockSquawk kinda slow these days? I posted the article below in hopes of igniting a good conversation with other studio owners (posted in the studio section of Squawk), engineers, and others... but this post just sat there... no love... kinda weak if you ask me. I thought maybe... just maybe... at least the studio owners, engineers and producers of this town could find common ground to talk about recording music, gear, ups and downs of studio ownership, working with other engineers,… Continue

Running Fiber Optic - who wants to fly?

Just doing a quick post to talk about the project I'm working on. Since my 2 year long contract has ended with KeyToSound, I've been taking some time to not only clean my home office, but also pick up "odd jobs" around town. I've been talking to Rick over at Production Central ABQ (a film / video production house) and landed a networking gig laying fiber optic, Cat5 and Cat6 with my brother in law. It's pretty cool to say that we've ran over a thousand feet of fiber optic, covering 7 production… Continue

Hey N'gala - big props and thanks for the invite! I'll try to make it out, but since I got a show going on that night myself, I can't fully commit. Regardless, have a great show!
