I am an ardent grower, into sustainable everything! I have been recycling since way before it was fashionable...which really means I must be getting old and wise.
I am a transplant from many places. The ocean is my true deep love and we have relocated a few times...but this beautiful, rough, desert city still calls me back.

ABQ Shows off? GO! Arts Festival, what happened?

I attended the first 3 GO! Festivals as a volunteer for artist friends' via booth support. Long hot days.



The first 2 were a little rough, granted the idea was art- and not perfomance based.

It showed, and was heard. (wince) It was loud and jagged and literally irratating.

But an effort was being made and we support that, then and now.



The 3rd Festival- well, it just exploded with a fusion of art and sound and movement. It was incredible and

It's true, Poisonwood Bible was very sad. It was a good read though. I too read Grapes of Wrath in high school and it pretty much changed my life I think. One of my all-time favorites, helped turn me into the pinko leftie (according to my family probably) that I am today. And helped me appreciate the double-sided coin that is life. "Take the good with the bad," a famous theme song once said.
