So my co-workers and I notice each morning (and today I noticed it at lunchtime) a VERY heavy garlic smell in the 'hood. I work near the corner of Broadway and Central, but I notice the smell is stronger as you go further south. Like someone is cooking up vats and vats of garlic. I innocently complimented him on his "large family" and the likelihood that he would contribute many good athletes to the school system. I never thought of it as being related to racism, but in the midst of his being criticized, and amid several other deletions, I think it was an accident. I should have said it about Coach Alford who has two players on the La Cueva team. I haven't checked into what has happened to Locksley's four children.
