I had Tommy's once, at about 3 in the morning, years ago, and while I have fond memories, I can't say my taste buds were fully functioning at that point. I need to visit L.A. again one of these days.

Oh yes -- Tommy's is delicious (even if the chili is pretty much nuclear).

If I find myself stuck in SoCal, which I do on occasion, I'd take a Tommy's Original over In-n-Out. I'd take a Blakes Green Chile and Cheese over either of them. Of course if Albuquerque could get a Braum's then I'd have to balance my burger sched...

Not an issue for me, either "in favor of" or "in opposition to." I'm just curious where all the haters from last fall went, during the arrival of Jack-in-the-Box or the Paseo outlet of Chick-fil-a. But I seem to remember comments about medical tre...

In-N-Out, Blakes, BK, or whatever, what's the diff. A burger is a burger is ground up dead cow (with all the negative conotations that accompany it) on a bun. My favorite association with In-N-Out has nothing to do with the burger barn. It's a si...

God damn you, KOB. You get my hopes up and dash them in an instant. I so love In-N-Out, but as far as local brands go, Blake's probably has a grip on the New Mexico market.

any California town has a mom and pop shop that's far superior to the palm trees and jesus, code-ordering establishment that is In N Out. PIE 'N' BURGER!!!! (Pasadena)

I just don't understand how you can build a new highway and not prevent traffic from crossing over. You know, it's just not driving in New Mexico if you don't have to dodge head-on traffic.

We've already taken our yearly family trip out west and therefore have eaten our yearly In N Out burger. I've always heard that they use the same distributor and refuse to freeze their meat as the reason why they don't venture too far east. But i...

A big part of the allure for me is that you can't get them here. When I travel east of here, I'll stop at White Castle for some slyders. If either of these joints had a location in ABQ, I might eat there occasionally. I like burgers of all varieti...

Before I moved to California, I had a couple of friends from there who hyped the In N Out all the time. So I went there straight away when I got to the land of milk and honey and high taxes and waaay too many people ... boy was I let down. Maybe t...

From what I understand, In N Out owners did not contribute to Yes on Prop 8., while Blake's owner Brian Rule's name appears in the public database and he is listed as donating $10,000. I am not familiar with any other In N Out politics or controve...

OK, correction- they stand in contradiction to "almost all"... understanding full well that the beef is probably the most important aspect... harumph. One of these days I will only buy my meat products at local farmer's markets or from small loca...

Finally, they are mentioned as standing in direct contradiction to all that is done in the world of fast food... But they still get their "meat product" from the mass producers, no? Who wants to eat something produced by an outfit that calls itse...

To me chains=franchise. In-N-Out doesn't qualify as a chain because it's still family-owned, merely with multiple locations. Same goes for Blake's, except without all the associated icky Mormon anti-Prop 8 stuff.

In n Outs do nothing for me. I'd rather have a Blakes. And what's with this hope for an In n Out Burger landing in ABQ coming from the same folks who loathe chains? Maybe we need a Double Standard Burger.

You people that don't like In-N-Out must not have any taste buds!  :^)  Best darn fast-food burger there is.  Add me as another that loves In-N-Out.  I have even used my SW Airlines free tickets to fly to Vegas on a couple of occasions just to eat...

I think it's a little more than local brand loyalty. In-N-Out has a marketing image- that of an earlier, "Cali" or "So-Cal" era, palm trees, beach-i-ness, surfing, etc. Additionally, their product tastes good. Their french fries are cut fresh, pra...

Oh how I love In-N-Out! I've taken quite a number of road trips for the pot o' gold known as a Double Double! Lota has nothing on them. As much as I loathe crossing the river, I'd gladly do so for a mouthful of their fries.

Hi Sophie. What are you guys going to do with the old forum? Specifically, all the posts about neighborhoods, etc. I'm thinking if I have a reply to a post there I like should I save it to use it on this forum?
