Feeling the photons

So I am ashamed to say that I am woefully unfamiliar with the downtown area. As a matter of coincidence, my life in ABQ just hadn't led me to that neck of the woods... until recently. I suddenly find being introduced to all kinds of new places all over ABQ.

Although my Birthday was last month, I wanted to share something that has been a tradition with me since I was in college. I started keeping track of my favorite CDs. One for each year im alive. I think one of my favorite things about New Mexico is the Prarie Dogs. My first encounter with these cute little furballs was during my first visit to ABQ, where I suddenly had to swerve across a lane of traffic on Tramway to avoid splattering a couple of (pups?) who we're obliviously darting back and forth along the side of the road. Since then, my only experience with Prarie Dogs are the ones they have in the Corale up at the Santa Fe Jackalope... Until now.

Again, my thing is looking around for things that might not be on the front page of the ABQ tourism pamphlet you grab as your walking out of the airport.
