Soooooo we will spend 60 mil on the Pit, yet noooo we might have to cut funding at libraries and for other public services. Hmmmm what could UNM do with 60 million besides letting the state piss it away on UNM athletics.
Note before anyone goes o...
Well for research costs, your comment is well wrong. OVPRED - the office that UNM research money is run through, has been in debt for several years now, and it was somewhat recently announced that the final tally for the hole is $4.4 million so ob...
A 'Real' Deli depends on where you are from - but in the NE it meant using high quality meats (i.e. the classic types of salami - the ones you could literally hang in your kitchen for weeks on end), and lots of 'em - sandwiches that were just frig...
I believe that the liquor licence 'vanishes' in these circumstances. I think it is completely unfair to hold the bar responsible in all case. You are considered overserved if you are served when you blood alcohol is over the limit, and at 0.08, th...
Fellow NM Photographer!
Just a quick note to invite you to Karl Koenig's opening at the Inpost Art Space (at the Outpost Performance Space, 210 Yale SE) this coming Friday evening, 5-8. Karl is a talented photographer who makes images mostly of nature and architecture, the world round. The show will focus on his large format gumoil photographs, a process that he pioneered himself about 20 years ago. The prints are hand pigmented, resulting in amazingly vibrant photographs with a wondrous, almost catastrophic fairy tale quality. I find them highly affecting and unique.
My fellow curator Rob Thalmann and I plan to focus heavily on local photography during our 2 year term there at the Outpost, and this is just the tip of the iceberg for us. Maybe we could even do a DCF photographer's group show there?
Hey! Hope you're enjoying the Tom Robbins, I love his stuff. Welcome to Art in ABQ. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions and thanks for joining us!
