About Me:

I am an artist and teaching artist. I work with found objects, weathered metal and wood, stuff I find on walks about town. I create reuse assemblages, origami-inspired book and paper pieces and sometimes even paint. I was born in Las Vegas, NM, lived in San Francisco for years, Los Angeles for a minute, and am happily back here for the long haul. I teach art and reading, focus on promoting literacy and cultural literacy through art experiences. I believe in reusing materials and discovering alternative tools and materials for imaginative play and creative endeavor in my own work and my work with children, teens and adults.

Two Degrees of Separation

It’s not Six here in ‘Burque’ (doesn’t rhyme with ‘turkey’), it’s definitely Two.
