Naming Rights for The Pit Sold to PBR's Ty Murray!

UNIVERSITY & CESAR CHAVEZ SE--Somehow I wasn't expecting the Professional Bull Riders' Ty Murray to end up giving his name to The Pit. But the official new name for UNM's University Arena will be "Ty Murray's PBR PIT." Apparently the bull riding event last weekend made so much money that the bull rider was convinced to opt for outright naming rights.

want a Grocery Store Downtown?

Hey young and old urbanites, I wish to address an issue that so many of my downtown friends and clients bring up... "We need a quality, full scale grocery store Downtown!"

Willy Porter at the Cooperage, Amazing!

Kickin' it on Saturdays

A couple of years ago I switched my boys to a new league for playing soccer. We had been with another league but I just got tired of the antics - and found that Zia Futbol is a great place for my kids to have fun and learn the game.

And while spring soccer usually involves some cold games and practices (it was SNOWING during our last Friday practice!) we can usually count on some gorgeous days as well.

Hominy (Posole)

Being relatively new to ABQ, can someone tell me the pros and cons of frozen vs canned hominy for making posole? I've used the frozen, and remember the "aroma" of canned from many many many years ago when it completely turned me off. Would it be more acceptable to use in posole, or just easier?
