Two a Day: end of an era...for now

I started my Two a Day project on June 5 so it hasn't been quite two months. I've crossed a lot of items off of my To Do List in that time and I don't think I would have accomplished so much if I didn't have the structure and support of this blog and its commenters to keep me motivated.

Isleta Casino's Lake Concert

Oh, where do I begin to tell the story of my adventure? Of course the beginning. Last night my husband and I and a close friend attended the concert of Blondie and Pat Benatar at the Isleta Casino's Lake outdoor venue. National Night Out is Coming

New Mexico online shopping

I like to support independent, New Mexico businesses. I also like to shop online. Antithetical? Can I get the convenience of shopping onlilne for my sister's birthday present and having it shipped directly to her in Chicago, but buy from a New Mexico business? Any suggestions?

Why I Like Socialized Medicine

I have had personal real-life experience with it, that’s why.

I spent a summer in Italy. I got very sick. Twice. So I’ve got two stories.

The first time I went to the emergency room in Florence on a Saturday afternoon. There was nobody in the waiting area.

Let me say that again. It was a Saturday afternoon in summer, in a tourist-packed city in Europe, and there was nobody in the emergency room. Yeah, I thought it was curious.

Art for the Animal This Weekend
