The foothills, all simmered down & ready for action

The heat's eased off Albuquerque like a snake bite healing, which means it's the perfect time to head to the foothills.

This morning, on a 2 hour hike where Copper dead-ends into the sandy base of the mountains, the sun was warm but the air cool. I saw quail, jackrabbits, and more than one western bluejay. Things are blooming too.…

Balloon Fiesta Faithful

Don't care what guys like this think, I remain a looney-bin lover of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta.
