Familiar Story

Consider how many stories you encounter every day. Include in your count all the sources for stories you have: television, radio, iPods, computers, phones, newspapers, magazines, other people. Make sure you take into account all the forms stories take: movies, videos, commercials, jokes, songs, news, plays, TV…

In remembrance of Albuquerque Film Festival founding father, Dennis Hopper, on the year anniversary of his death. We miss you Dennis!

In remembrance of our founding father, Dennis Hopper, on the year anniversary of his death. We miss you Dennis!

“In 2009, we set out to create a film festival in Albuquerque. It was my dream to screen Easy Rider since it was the 40th Anniversary of the film that I believe set the indie film revolution in motion.

Los mejores dias del año...

This weekend kicks off my summer event adventures. The Alibi's weekly newsletter, delivered directly to my inbox, has been teeming with great ideas on things to check out. Civic Cinema?

I was trying to get online info. about the Summer series films on Civic Plaza (Civic Cinema?) earlier today, with no avail. The one website that seemed to have some basic info. gave me the message that the website was at capacity with visitors at that time. I am perplexed as to why this event isn't publicized more. Last year I went to 4 of the 5 free films on Civic Plaza--and on the first film night, there were literally about 30 people who showed up to watch, while hundreds of chairs sat… Continue
