ABQ Day Trip: San Lorenzo Canyon

Here's a gem a little over an hour south of Albuquerque near Socorro: San Lorenzo Canyon Recreation Area. The road that connects to the canyon is sandy, but decently kept. We made it fine with a front wheel drive car, though I could imagine some weather conditions and road conditions that might make it more difficult.…

Further Adventures in ABQ Recycling

So far I've dropped off hazardous household materials and taken a collection of glass bottles to go live in the great glass bottle ranch in the sky. Now, I find myself faced with a slow New Year clean out of my garage. The cardboard boxes I have no problem with - break them down and toss them in the recycling box. Unused (but still useful) items have been taken over to Thrift Town as ARC donations.
