Levitated

Couldn't resist.  I had to go to the Levitated Toy Factory open house and check out this mystery business. Their …

Little Bit Late

Here's a little ditty by local legend Lewie Wickham of the Wickham Brothers.  Lewie was a fixture at the "T" House in Corrales for years.  Any of you remember those days?  Lewie sure knew how to write a great song.  Here's a video of Lewie talking about his life growing up in New Mexico and…

The Beat of a Different Drum

Albuquerque had its own version of what was to be the largest, loudest drum circle as a tribute to Boadrum.  Organizer and conductor Kris Kerby said he hoped for one hundred drummers to show up at Kit Carson Park.  Around 30-40 drummers of all…

When most people think of what a hero is, they might think of the brave first responders of 911, or maybe emergency room doctors that save lives.  Yes, they are all heroes.

What about the everyday heroes that touch your life in ways that are so significant, your life is changed forever?

Downtown Memories

My 86 year old mother has dementia. Her short term memory is pretty much gone but her memories of the past are crystal clear.  For anyone who has a loved one with the disease, you know how difficult it can be caring for them.

On weekends, when her full-time caretaker takes her days off, my daughter, my niece and I take turns taking care of her.  I usually like to do simple crafting projects…

To give you an idea of the history of this…
