You may not like the guy, but it's hard not to admit the fact that Albuquerque Mayor, Martin J. Chavez, would be better equipped for the job as VP than Sarah Palin. Here's the breakdown....

Lauren, you may be on to something. Have you ever seen Marty's thighs? Wowsers!
However, I am with Rudolfo and Lynn. Take her very, very far away. Maybe even to Russia. I hear that it's close to Alaska! (But still, quite some distance from NM.)

On a scale of 1 - 10 on an ego meter, where do you think each of these two would land?

Quoting Spinal Tap, dial them both up to "11".

A couple of points I would like to add here if I may.
1. I'm probably one of the few on DCF that actually likes Marty. The reason I can do so is because I also remember Louis Saavedra.
2. All Palin has to do is help get MCCain in office. She was picked to spice of the ticket, take the lime light away from Obama, and steal some of his women's vote that he got from Hillary. She can be swapped out later.

How much longer till election day??? please let the time pass quickly, so this pointless chatter will subside.

You left out the only thing that makes any difference in your inane "slam the Republican" game...Sarah Palin is the Republican nominee for VP, and Marty Chavez is not. If you want to play your silly little game, I'm sure we could find many people more "qualified" than Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden, too.

Oh, I will admit to panic. 4 more years of George W. (which is what we will have with McCain) is enough to put me in a tailspin.

He's right, CB. McCain votes with the prez ONLY 90% of the time. There's a 10% chance things will change under a GOP presidency!

Still don't like the odds, NMGH. But thanks for the er, facts! :-)
