The Aztec Motel. Or what it used to be. I photographed this place before I moved here. Sheesh, it was one of the reasons for moving here. A kitschy hold-out on the corner of Now & Then. Sad to see it go. Read it and weep....
PS: This is my first photo on DCF. Feel free to respond with comments or photos

Comment by Merimee Moffitt on April 1, 2012 at 8:26am Thanks, Dee. Great idea--so much history to preserve. This place, the Aztec, a bitter sweet landmark--so sad to lose . . .
It made me feel beyond sad to not remember what it looked like! After walking by just the sign on my way to the bus stop for so long, I forgot about the crazy cool building that went with it. Now it's just a vacant lot that might very well be vacant for some time. Thanks for posting this!
Comment by Ron Da Bomb on April 1, 2012 at 9:55am I would encourage you to post more pic blogs! I've often thought of doing so, but I mostly just posted my photos in the DCF Flickr Feed. I think I might follow your lead and post a "pic blog" or two myself...
Comment by Dee Cohen on April 1, 2012 at 11:02am Thanks for commenting everyone. I hope to post a pic a day on my DCF blog. Funny you should mention the sign Krista, that's tomorrow's theme! Ron, it would great to see your pics here too. Dee
