Comment by once banned twice shy on October 24, 2012 at 11:30am You shouldn't be frightened of whooping cough as long as your child is vaccinated.* These once-rare childhood diseases are making a comeback due to idiotic parents who have stopped vaccinating their children. Vaccinations DO NOT cause autism. Full stop. But those childhood diseases that vaccinations prevent have a good chance of killing your child.
It simply blows my mind that there are parents who won't vaccinate their children these days. It's because they don't remember the days before vaccinations were available. Those days weren't fun--it was just common that families would lose children to childhood diseases that are now easily prevented.
*yes, I am aware that vaccines are not 100% effective. But your child has a better chance of avoiding infection if your child IS vaccinated vs. not.
Comment by Bluegoo on October 24, 2012 at 3:56pm There is a reason why homeopathic remedies do not work. They do not have active
biologically viable stuff in them. In short they are a con not any better than doing
nothing.
Here is more about them.
