What's going on, Albuquerque?

Glad to hear Cocina Azul is doing so well (I remember grumbling when it opened - "Oh boy, just what we need, ANOTHER New Mexican restaurant!"), and happy to see Nick's space occupied.
The story on the Santa Fe New Mexican didn't say HOW to vote on the elephant's name, but the story on the zoo's website says that you can vote in the Cottonwood Cafe there ("$1 = 1 vote") or on their facebook page.
I really like Cocina Azul's red and they have great calabacitas and fideos!
I agree, Lita - it is nice to see that kind of home-cookin' stuff on a restaurant menu. It's been a while since we've been there, but do they have quelites too?
Wheee! Cocina Azul in close proximity to my workplace! Wheeee! Phil_0, no quelites. Not too many people have it on their menus and I don't know why. When properly made, they are my favorite. (Properly made=fresh spinach or lamb's quarters NOT canned spinach).
Someone needs to tell those silly Taylor Ranch people that's not dust, it's Enchantment. New Mexico has been putting the sand in sandwich for centuries, kids.
I've seen 'em at Church Street Cafe and that weird double-restaurant/dark 70s bar at Wyoming and Menaul (Charlie's Front and Back Door?), which also has a lot of other stuff like torta de huevo.
Central is starting to look good! Anatolia Doner Kebab should be opening up their new space across the street soon...
Proper Quelites are hard to do since you would have to comb the ditch banks to find lambs-quarters.
Not this summer, Ramon - I had 'em everywhere in my backyard.

Oh, OBTS, you kill me.

Do you know where they're moving, Phil? Into the Anasazi? Their food is SO GOOD (just ate there last night in fact) that they deserve to be in a place where they're more visible.
Benny, I think they're moving into the space between Waco's Tacos and the Subway. Definitely more visible and supposedly a lot larger, though that's hard for me to visualize.
Charlie's is NOT weird. Great food served in a dive bar (Back Door). I didn't think they had quelites, though. But since I got a version with canned spinach once in a restaurant, I've never ordered them again. Yeah, a person could actually GROW lamb's quarters. But spinach comes close.
Benny, I'm here all week. Try the quelites.
