WooHoo! the very first ever DukeCityFix.com originated Art and Craft Show is ON! Three members of the DCF Craftacular group have partnered with VERB Collective to organize an all-out extravaganza of Art, Craft and Music. Many members of the DCF community are volunteering their time, craftiness, foodiness, and even cash to make these events possible.

Just who are the DCF Crafties behind the madness? RiriSynCyr, Adelita and Vashti! We collaborated to bring this mad collection of artists and craftspeople together. What did it entail? piles of organizing, color coding, list making, laughter … a lot of laughter. All three of us are artsy-craft-makers, organizers, imaginative beings, passionate-about-life-in-Albuquerque-gals who are excited about building community through creative endeavor.

We partnered with Blake Driver, Christopher and Carol at the VERB Collective to bring you these most wonderful community events.

What Is VERB Collective? All people need the space and means to create. VERB Collective is a community of performing and visual artists who want to provide the space for multimedia coordination. We are dedicated to enriching and supporting the human imagination by promoting art as an intrinsic, inseparable element of the spirit. We are wild and we welcome all skill levels. VERB is a home for the arts.

You are all invited to our gallery opening this Friday night at VERB - come check out the work of more than 20 DCF artists and musicians, shmooz and gnosh, good times. Marble Brewery is sponsoring us with a keg of their IPA...oh, so many reasons to join us.

Then! Saturday May 31st we will wrap up the Gallery show with a one day Craft Fair.

We craftily look forward to meeting you all this Friday night, and again at the Craft Fair on Saturday May 31st!

I'll be there with some nibbles, as promised! I love that you 3 decided to pull this together. Do you have a list of the DCFers who will be displaying their work?
