What's going on, Albuquerque?

Alert the papers! RLAD and I agree! I don't understand people who will happily eat hamburger, bacon, chicken, lamb--what have you, but OH MY GOD don't slaughter a horse! Really? What's the difference? Is it that horses have better personalities than those other animals (a la Jules, from Pulp Fiction)?
Whichever "eyewitness" wrote that comic convention piece was clearly not invited for their writing ability - 3 or 4 paragraphs and my head was spinning. Anyone actually make it through who can sum it up for me?
Ha, Phil_0--I had the same reaction. But I was determined to make it to the end to figure out just what the problem was. Cliff Notes version:
Jack'O Con was jacked. Event organizer screwed the vendors and artists by not being organized and telling them they could be setting up when they couldn't and shut the whole thing down early. Ended up not paying for hotel rooms as promised. Might have been illegally selling booze at a rave in the hotel on Friday night (and might have been the reason the event organizer shut the thing down early, but that's MY read). Writer of post is going to try to get booth rental fee back. I wish him good luck.
Thanks, OBTS. If they get their money back I know a great way for them to spend it.
The mug shot should be called a Smug Shot.
Maybe the fair's attendance was down because it rained and rained.
I got shooed out of Los Poblanos when I tried to take some pics (not of people- just some greenery etc).
The comic book convention author was only 20 years old. Yes, he needed editing but let's give him a break.
Done now. Nothing about horses. It's sad coming and going. D
