What's going on, Albuquerque?
New Mexico Competes, a social welfare organization supporting Governor Martinez’s agenda, might have something to do with that funny voter registration stuff.
I certainly wouldn't call New Mexico Competes a "social welfare organization." That's what I think they call themselves for IRS purposes. They are clearly a political organization pushing an agenda and I seriously doubt they care about anyone's welfare
It's interesting to read that many of the veterans on the list were looking for help with hearing problems. If they are seniors, it may be because Medicare doesn't cover hearing aids (or glasses, or dentures -- how many were for that.?) Not exactly life-threatening. Glad they are getting help.
"Many veterans on the waiting list were seeking appointments related to hearing concerns. The VA is recruiting two new audiologists and support staff to help chip away at the backlog, Brown said. The facility’s current audiologist is working overtime, and another has been hired to work Saturdays to address the wait time."
