Wipers Wanted
There are days when I think I need to get a real job...maybe at a newspaper where I could do real stuff like writing articles for big money or maybe some down to earth technical stuff like, WIPING...This is a real advertisement from a real Newspaper right here in Albuquerque...It may or may not be the Albuquerque Journal...however, next time you read the paper, consider someone had to WIPE things to get er done...

WIPERS wanted. 'A Company' is hiring entry-level personnel for the pressroom [News U can use.]. Responsible for cleaning reel stands, units and superstructures. Exposure to moving machinery and constant noise.[WHOOHOO!] Involves climbing stairs, stepladders, and crawling into confined spaces.[That's moi!] 6am -3pm, Monday - Friday, with occasional Sundays.[Can't beat those hours neither Billie-Bob.] Must be at least 18 years old...

I didn't realize there were that many Dirty Jobs seekers in the high desert...Love that Captain of Discovery, Mike Rowe [in a hetero metero sort of way, that is...]

Aforementioned Advertisement is running as we speak both online and in hard inky copy of a certain newspaper...

Excuse me, but did y'all move to New Mexico expecting California wages? A few people here make "big money." They are in the aerospace or weapons development industries, and even they don't make the kind of money that their doctorates would bring them elsewhere. Most of New Mexico is working class, folks. If you don't like it, go back to where you came from.

By the way, the Albuquerque Journal advertises for wipers about once a year or so.
