I've seen it fly over a couple of times in the early evening just by chance. It's pretty bright and hard to miss.

I have seen it several times over the past few years. The window of opportunity to see it is very narrow as it really books it across the sky. You probably have less than 90 seconds to catch it.

Yep, you really have to be ready. I was fortunate enough to see both the space station and space shuttle the last time they were both visible together for us. Really cool!

I use the Heaven's Above website for finding ISS and other heavenly objects in the night time sky.

They have a rating system for the magnitude of brightness, start, altitude and end times as well as an image showing where it is in relation to your particular location.

Keep an eye out for STS-124 as they near the ISS in June.
