Albuquerque Etsy of the Week-joliedesigns

In celebration of the Porque Craft Fair, I am focusing this week's Etsy highlight on one of the crafters who will be showing her work at the fair, Jill. Jill's seller name on Etsy is joliedesigns. I bought one of her lovely creations for my sister-in-law at the craft fair at Factory on Fifth in December and am glad to see that she'll be showing at DCF's fair! Here is a snippet of her profile from her Etsy shop:

'From my home in the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico, I make each Jolie Bag by hand, with the help of two energetic little boys, a patient husband, and two lazy dogs. Somehow, I manage to come up with new bags each week. Though I'm lucky to come from a long line of talented sewers, I only recently began making things on my own. I wanted to find a way to work with fabric, make things, and be able to work from home. (I left an office in 1999 and I never want to go back!) Thanks to my darling hubby, and two boys too young to protest, Jolie Designs has become an outlet for my creative inclinations.'

Here are some of the items from joliedesign's Etsy store (I love her distinctly New Mexican product photos!):

Lovely little lime and blue bag with hand beading

Quilt in Bright Spring Colors

Little Purse in blue, green, and brown

Cotton Napkins for Kids - Parrots

Little Bag with Paris Scenes

Love that quilt! Bring it to the craft show, Jill! Maybe I'll be able to afford it! :)

love love love all things Jolie! Jill made a bag for my sister for holiday last December (she made a custom bag!) and then did the same this past month for my mama for Mother's Day. The sister and mama love their bags, and really - I'm next! So excited she's part of the craftacularliness going down this Saturday, sure hope to see you all there!

Yay! I'm so glad to see Jill featured here. She is so nice and she has some really cool designs and uses of fabric.
