A long weekend in Albuquerque made for a good Memorial Day celebration, especially since I am back in Austin and it it in the high 90's and humid. Meh. One thing I never took much advantage of as a kid was the proximity of the Sandia Mountains and their foothills to my house. A five minute drive will put you at the base of the foothills, complete with many a trail and cacti to run into. (Ouch).

cool photos jana! i just spent a week in Waco for work (ack) ... and the hot humid weather made me so extra appreciate Albuquerque. actually, the entire week there made me extra appreciate Albuquerque, but that's just a whole 'nother story.

Thanks, Vashti! Um yeah. Waco would definitely send me back to ABQ at 90 mph, haha! I've only driven through but that was enough.

The whole time I was in ABQ my mom kept saying "it's humid!" and I just stared at her. Oh well. :)

Thanks, Chantal! It was short enough to make me plan my next trip back right away, haha. Hope all is well!
