Pink -- Albuquerque Skyline, Snowstorm 2006

Killing time in the airport yesterday, I stumbled upon this stunning video about the Sandias. Pour a cold one, kick back, and meditate on the majesty. Some days, in the fray and the flux, it's hard even to notice their existence.

The Sandias, a KNME production

And if that's not enough, enjoy the over 5000 photos on Flickr tagged with "sandia mountains."

Really beautiful, thanks. I missed the tricentennial mountain light show. It was really cool to see behind the scenes on that.

A beautiful post to top off our perfect day. On a whim, we took our daughters up the tram this afternoon to cool from the heat. It was completely spontaneous, we were in sundresses and flip flops. The crest was a perfect 60 degrees on top with gorgeous views. Someday, my daughters will be old enough to hike with us to the top in appropriate clothing. In the meantime, I'll settle for the tram, Shirley Temples, iced tea and an IPA for Mama.
