The Pride parade celebrated the wonderful diversity of culture we have in ABQ. From Grandmas suggesting blowing instead of smoking, to happy heteros from Self Serve praising their toys and dissing fake orgasms, everything off the norm was cheered.

Hooray for Native Pride!

During this year's Pride I was mindful of the loss of Matt Bubb, one of the geniuses behind the Albuquerque Dolls. I ran into a photo of him in the art exhibit and just lost it. I didn't learn of his death until months after it happened, and I had not really had a chance to grieve. Since I met him twenty years ago, I've believed he was the most talented actor I've ever known.

We had fun at the Pride parade! Took my daughter and we met up with all her "uncles." My only disappointment was that I hadn't charged my camera!!

This was our first year at ABQ Pride and we loved it. We've been to other Pride celebrations (Phoenix, San Diego, Minneapolis) and they were far too big and crowded to really enjoy (in our opinion). Can't wait for next year!

We had such a great time at Pride! I just adore the gay community! The only thing missing for me was my dad, but I could definitely feel his presence around me all day. I just wish I would have remembered to take my camera! DUH! Thanks so much for sharing the photos.

Best. Parade. Ever. Candy, a firetruck, *and* safe sex aids. A huge turnout, too!

I was working in a booth that day and what a totally different experience! As a spectator you don't always get to see ALL of the attendees. Being in a booth at the intersection of Main Street and the San Pedro walk in entrance you get to see EVERYONE! What a great day that was.
