It's not just for tourists. Old Town- that place where we take our out of town friends for an afternoon stroll - is saying "Yoohoo, sailor" to the town at large. My suggested prescription for a Wednesday evening in summer: start at Seasons with a margarita (with their house made sweet and sour - try the Hornitos version at $8). Climb down from the cantina (happy hour runs from 4-6:30) and head to the plaza.

Arrive at the gazebo and grab a seat to catch the live music. Here's a list of some of the upcoming acts. My personal can't miss is the Handsome Family and the Rivet Gang on August 27th.

We went last night to catch Trilobyte. Unfortunately, the show was canceled due to some wild whipping wind weather. So we roamed a bit and took pictures - with the self imposed requirement of taking no pretty panoramas or landscapes. Just close-ups, Mr. DeMille.

I agree that Old Town is not just for tourists. Your photos are great and capture the texture and quirky art that Old Town has retained.
One of my co-workers just bought the coolest kaleidoscope I have ever seen. It came from the Kaleidoscope Shop in Old Town.

The Kaleidoscope Shop is truly awesome and one-of-a-kind. Handsome Family on the Old Town Plaza - wow, that sounds amazing. I'll have to mark my calendar.
