I thought it was just me. I just looked at my thermostat and it reads 85 degrees. I've had my swamp cooler on all morning and no relief!

If you don’t want the high electrical bills of refrigerated air, you could invest in a Master Cool swamp cooler. With this swamp cooler the fan is not surrounded by the water or pads. The 5 year pad has its own compartment, this helps to keep the humidity down.

It is a very low maintenance air conditioner, we have had ours for about seven years and the only item we have replaced is the belt. The pad is due for replacement, it costs about $100.00 but it still is working great.

Anthony, where did you find pads for the Master Cool? We replaced our pads when we moved into our house four years ago but could only find them at a small local distributor whose name I can't remember. We don't need to replace them yet but when we do I'm not sure where to go so I'd love to know your source!

Yes, refrigerated air would be nice during the monsoon season. However, I do not want those high PNM bills that a/c brings.
