me thinks aps is playing games. i've talked to the folks at mesa del sol and actually the last thing they want to do is to build and manage their own schools, let alone districts.

I have been following the Eclipse Aviation Critic Blog for the past year.

This blog has been predicting Rayburn's departure for some time. His "lessor position" is with Eclipse's European subsidiary ETRIC. The mailing addresses for ETRIC are a spa in Holland and a residential house in Luxembourg.

Many of the posters on the EAC blog believe that if Eclipse stays in business at all they will move their entire Albuquerque operations to Russia.

Depositors who have been waiting for their Jets for years are demanding their deposits back as per their contracts. These checks are said to have been bouncing. New Mexico has just committed another $1.2M to keep Eclipse afloat. I believe that Albuquerque already has about $20M invested in them. At least Tesla pulled out before significantly swindling New Mexico tax payers.

raburn - not surprised he's out as I've been getting this feeling for quite some time that he's a OPUD executive. As long as there are tax incentives and a weak american dollar, I don't think Eclipse production is going anywhere. When the tax incentives run out, I can see "adios to Eclipse" and another flunked Mayor Marty pet project.

Mesa del sprawl - i'm all for it if they think they'll have enough of a tax base to open and operate a school district. Just don't go crying to APS if the base isn't there (or property taxes are sky high) and they want to get funding or merge it with APS.
