Kudos to Duke City Fix, 100 Gold, Sadies, Mayor Martin Chavez, Greg Payne and Abq. Ride for the beautiful job on the POETRY ON THE BUS reception; for the gorageous book of the selected poems; and for the LITERARY ARTS on the WALL artshow (Yes, poems are art pieces!) at 117 Gold. We know the literary art pieces will look just as snappy on the inside of the busses too.

Meanwhile, the four-hour gallery show and reception was billed as running from 2-6 with poets reading their work and an appearance by Mayor Marty and so on. By 4:45 the staff was packing up and shipping out and there was not a poet or politician to be had ... er, seen. That's just so Albuquerque!

(Wonder if our mayor decided to crash the DNC ...)
