wow, that's big news, even if it is end of season.

Wow, awesome. I thought the old owner had it put in his will that Taos would never allow snowboarders? Another urban legend I guess. Can't wait to board the kachina bowl.

Great, now where am I going to tell two plankers to go when I hear them complaining about snowboarders. ALTA, I guess.

Kinda reads like a one-day-only thing... they wouldn't do that to us, would they?

VERY disappointed but not at all surprised. Sadly, this is not just a one-day-only thing. It's a forever thing.

I'll for sure be going to Taos as much as humanly possible leading up to March 19.

i've seen one too many boarder plough down the bumps...seemingly just because they can. it's depressing to revisit a particular run later in the day only to find it flattened in that manner. some of them also loll around in the snow with their jackets spread out around them...right in the middle of runs. in general, none of its a big deal...i can share a mountain just fine with boarders. still, i've enjoyed having a place at which i didn't have to worry about a small set of clueless boarders ruining it for the rest of us. :-)

There's more than a fair share of disrespect that comes from skiers also and I think the divisiveness that comes out of some people on this issue is amusing... one plank or two... what did Perry Farrel say... "We'd make great pets".

I'm really happy that more people will be able to experience that beautiful mountain regardless of one's floating surface/s.
