Poetry & Beer has been kicked to the curb, but it dusted itself off and found a new home in a matter of hours.

Poetry & Beer has moved.

Well, it's official (sort of). So on Thursday we went by the District to square away some business and make sure we were ready for January 2nd. The manager said, "___________ and ________________ said you were done after December."

Well, that was the first we'd heard of it. So, after 2 years, Poetry & Beer was kicked to the curb and we didn't even know.

After talking with one venue we checked out another and we had another venue by 10 PM.

This month will be a trial run, but Poetry & Beer will take place on January 2nd at 8 PM. Sorry about the spelling mistake btw. This should be a killer show in a new venue.

The cool thing about the Buvette is that it also allows for Poetry & Whiskey. The other cool thing about it is that it's run by musicians. There's also a good blackened salmon sandwich, and sweet potato chips.

Worth going downtown for!

I have found a new home. The Blackbird is kind enough to let me squawk on the mic, call myself a poet and swill beer...all the while grubbing on their wonderfully greasy french fry chips. Mmmh. You've done good McIver and Bodwell! Great location for Poecia y Cerveza! Sincere thanks.
