It was a short week and I had a rough time waking up each morning but all in all, it was nice to be back at work. What? Did I really say that? Yup I did.
First thing I liked about being back was my music, I don't listen to music much at home but when I'm driving to work I love to blast my radio and sing real loud and sometimes I also dance. Yes that's me, the crazy lady you see driving 70 on the freeway, waving her arms and singing to herself. Then when I get to work I put on my headphones and dance in my chair while doing my work, luckily they haven't firewalled (knock on wood) my favorite live stream.
The other nice thing about coming to work is talking to people, different people that I don't get to talk to on a regular basis. I was able to visit with my good friend Gretchen when I had to take measurements on a test fixture she is building and I'm drawing. We worked together in the "short order shop" back when I worked in assembly and she was telling me about how her pipes had frozen while she was out of town over the holidays. One of our pipes outside also froze but we were home and were able to fix it right away. She had to call a plumber out and was afraid there was a leak in her crawl space.
Then some very thoughtful person (Thank You!) left me a gift certificate for a massage from Massage Envy in the coffee area. It thanked me for keeping the coffee area supplied and it was signed from "The coffee drinkers". That was really nice and although I've never had a real massage (because I don't like strangers rubbing their hands all over my naked body) I might consider getting over my hang-up and allow it. I just hope I get some hot male with big strong hands who can find all the right spots on my back and neck where I tend to carry my stress.
And lastly I get to surf and socialize on the computer while working. Love me some high speed internet and dual monitors that allow me to multitask while working. It sure helps make the day go by a little easier and I get to socialize with the world and here with my reader(s).
Hi world, I see you and know you're out there, leave a comment, I can't bite you online but I'll be happy to talk with you.

Psychomom! I think we'd make great carpool partners. The music is loud in my car and I too boogie oogie oogie while driving. Drives my daughter insane! She wears her iPod in the car and ducks down when I dance. Ha!

Also, why not get a reflexology foot massage instead of a full body massage. You only need naked feet and legs.

My son made me laugh the other day when he admitted to liking my music. He said he tried to really hard to resist "Sublime" because it was "mom's" music but the song "Santeria" finally turned him into a rocker. His rap/hiphop grew on me too and now I don't hate it either.
