On New Years morning, I experienced a frozen and burst pipe, resulting in a flood in my home. (Full flood story here) But I want to share with you the name of two terrific, local companies who have been helping me put it all back together! First of them is Rockefeller's Cleaning and Restoration. Even on a holiday, they have been fabulous! Fast, friendly, professional and knowledgeble, they have been a wonderful help and very reassuring.

The other company is TLC Plumbing. I called three Plumbing companies, but TLC was the only one who had a polite, helpful answering service answer my call and forward my message promptly to an on-call technician. He called me back within 15 minutes (on a holiday!) to schedule the repair. Everyone I dealt with was polite, knowledgeble and helpful. They were at my house within a couple of hours, minimizing my time without water.

Of course, my home owner's insurance (State Farm, agent Beth Wells) has been very helpful too. They have been kind, reassuring, and a great help in taking care of bringing it all together.

So, for those of you who have never had need of such services, OR for those of you new to the area -- take note. . . just in case, for the future.
