I was only mistaken as a member of the Press Corps twice. I was given lots of smiles, and room to shoot. I stood, I listened, I shot and I cheered. I even had a banner clutched somewhere on my person that I wanted to wave around (but nooo, I had two cameras attached to my person as well). I had tears in my eyes when Bill Clinton was introduced. (No, I don't know why..)

Yes, I was there, at UNM, for Bill Clinton's speech.

It was the most incredible experience I've ever been a part of. I wasn't old enough to vote for Bill the first time around, so it was amazing to see this man, today, less than 100 feet from me.

I guess you just had to be there.

Yes, actually he did. He was very compelling and intelligent. I certainly have a lot more respect for him now, than I ever did before.

The whole event was a very enlightening experience.

I'm so jealous! I still have a lame schoolgirl crush on the man *swoon* I just couldn't make it there last night.

It's good to see former Governor Tony Anaya's face there on the platform to President Clinton's left. Much maligned while in office, I think he was one of the most courageous and right thinking governors New Mexico has ever had.

I've alway admired Bill as a true leader. That would have been a great experience - I would have been there, if I had been in ABQ that day.

I agree! It was so thrilling when Bill Clinton came out! I was standing like 7 feet away from him during the speech. I thought he had a good sense of humor and spoke very earnestly about Hillary! Anyone else think that Bill Clinton looks kind of small and frail in real life?

Looks like Bill will be here for the Super Bowl too:

My first election was in '96 when Bill and Al rolled to their second term and I got to see him speak downtown. He may have turned a bright shade of red under that New Mexico sun, but it was still a great experience. He's at the top of my list of famous people I'd love to drink a beer and shoot the bull with.

I didn't see Bill last night but I had the oppurtunity to see him at the Eclipse air hanger for the General Election in '06. He is an absolutely incredible speaker and admire him for all the help he is doing for the Democratic party.

Benito, great name by the way... wow, I didn't recognize that was Governor Anaya... I guess I always remember him the way he was as governor.

I was a youngin when he was governor but I remember when he went out of office he commuted all of the death row convictions to life... that always struck me as an act of courage.
