Who's donating campaign $$ in Albuquerque?

Worse than stalking your neighbor's backyard on Google Earth is the Fundrace 2008 tool by Huffingtonpost. Above is a birds-eye view of Albuquerque's campaign donations colored by party affiliation as well as candidate, but it gets truly scary when you type in your address and hunt your neighbor's predilections.

Listening to the news last night I heard that Barack raised a record 50 million in February. Compared to Hillary's scant 35 million for the same time period.

Hi John!

Oh I love this site! In the last presidential election I would just arbitrarily put in zip codes around the country to get a feel for who was donating to whom. Very interesting!

So now I know the name of the guy on my street who has that Ron Paul sign in his front yard...

Creepy. Even if you hate Google Earth (I love it, and it's not like you can zoom in close enough to tell anything you couldn't from just driving by someone's house), you have to admit it has nothing on this.

I'm surprised there isn't more "red" in the far Northeast Heights and Rio Rancho--aren't those Heather strongholds?

I know this is just for presidential candidates--but I would think that areas that support Heather would also support McCain.

Also, I think this excludes small donors. I have donated to Obama, but I am not shown on there.

I don't think it shows anyone with total donations <$100 as I'm not appearing either and have also donated to Obama. May explain why there doesn't appear to be a lot of donations for him - the vast majority of his donors give smaller amounts.

I might have to contribute $100 just to "put my name on the map," as it were. Might be a pleasant surprise for the Kucinich campaign.

great link! I find it amazing (or it must be nice) that some student a few blocks away from me is able to pull $4,600 out of his ... to support B-Rich.

I'm guessing he got the money from his developer dad.
