I'm getting my news through that modern telegraph of text-messaging, but apparently a court ruled the Marty can run for a third term. The justification given was state law trumps city law. So, anyone know what's up? And anyone have a spare crown and scepter to pass off to the feudal lord of The Q, his majesty Marty Chavez?

It will be a rare treat to see Marty have his arse handed to him. At this point I think the gentleman outside of Anodynes with the Mickey ears could beat him... by a wide margin.

I would like to see Margaret Aragon de former-Chavez whip Marty-boy in the primaries. I don't think she would be a good mayor because she's probably too much like him in how things are done (but she can surprise me if she wants).

Unfortunately Albuquerque doesn't have primaries, which is how Marty has always won in the past. He ends up having 3-4 opponents in the election and then manages to win with only 27% or so of the vote

I'll have to see a straight news story on this, as The Boy is saying, but the fact that someone even tries to figure out a way around term limits can only be illustrative. Hey, Martybob, give someone else a chance to direct the class war for a while. That guy's such a tool.

I'm voting for his ex, but if he becomes mayor for life at least we would have the devil we know, kinda of like Chicago

I was expecting that this was merely an innocent April Fools Joke.

And then I saw the ABQ Journal article.

I hope Micheal Cadigan runs, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat.
