Did you know that The Cradle Project is still looking for cradles? It's true!
If you want to participate, but feel overwhelmed by the process, join other creatives this weekend for a Cradle Making Marathon! You need not be an artist to participate, though artists are strongly encouraged to come. Just bring some funky found/reused/recycled materials and your enthusiasm (kids love this project too!), and your cradle will spring to life between your fingertips. This is a FUN way to explore creativity and a pressing social issue. Come get inspired with members of your community!
The main Installation, which is on June 7th, 2008, will be accepting submissions until May 1st. Join hundreds of artists - nationwide and globally - in this passionate and visually powerful fund raising effort. All completed cradles will be included within the main Installation. Visit our website to learn more.
What to bring? Any found, scrap, recycled materials. (Tools to assemble materials are helpful too!) Examples:
- 2x4s from an old shed

- Branches, twigs, leaves
