I asked Michael the other night what surprised him the most about living here in Albuquerque for the last ten years. He said, “I can’t believe how much I love this place.”

I know what he means.

I love it here too.

Hi Luann! I, too, know exactly what you mean. It's beautiful here!

Hope you are doing well!

I love walking in my neighborhood (nob hill-ridgecrest) the older houses and mature trees, all the wisteria is in bloom right now, as are the lilacs, pure heaven.

Seems people either love or hate it (I'm in the first camp - wouldn't think of living anywhere else.)

However, (and granted, I'm prejudiced) I think the people that hate wouldn't be happy anywhere. EVERY place has crime, traffic, political problems, and such.

Thanks for posting the photo - nice reminder of how lucky we all are (particularly when the wind is blowing dirt all over my yard...)

P.S. One of the reasons I bought my funky 50's box in Uptown was the old wisteria in the front yard. It's EXPLODED in blooms again this year. It's the little simple things, that make life worth living (Who needs granite countertops in my postage stamp kitchen? Won't make my chile rellenos taste any better! ;-)
