I just took yet another trip out to the Rio Grande Aquarium & Botanical Gardens, and never cease to be impressed. I was there with roughly 35,367 first graders, and yet I survived AND enjoyed it. If you've never been...get there. I can't wait til early June; hopefully by then the butterflies will be out in force in the butterly pavilion. Hope you like my pics!

I was just out there taking pics for a planned post on the new Japanese garden. They have definitely done a fantastic job on the whole area. Thanks for your post!

WOW- thanks for the great photos! Now I want to go out there and see it for myself.

Does anyone know of a good time to go when it won't be so crowded?

Yet another little trip I'll have to add to my ever-expanding list of "cool things to do in Albuquerque." Thanks so much for the great pictures and thoughtful post, Jessica!

Great framing on the waterfall picture- very nice. The waterfall ran all through the winter- when we visited in early february there was actually a huge sheet of ice from the water splashing- really neat effect.

LW: There are fewer people there first thing in the morning on weekdays (everyone is at work).
